Our Story
Torradubh South Devon stud was started in April 2019, with the purchase of 4 pedigree South Devon cows, 3 calves and a yearling heifer, running over 40 acres in Sedgwick, Central Victoria.
Having grown up on an Angus cattle farm, Frances has been exposed from an early age to the running of beef cattle. After many years living in the United Kingdom, she returned to Australia in 2018 and settled on the family property in Faraday, Central Victoria, and purchased her first breeding cows with the assistance and guidance of John and Sue Harvey at Torr Down South Devon stud. She is a registered member of the South Devon Cattle Society.
The first 3 years have been dedicated to growing the female herd numbers, and now sits on a herd of 50 animals. The fast expansion in numbers meant the need for additional land, and prompted the move to Whorouly in North East Victoria, a picturesque spot of highly fertile Ovens Valley farmland.
